We can Help You Grow Your Own Food

Growing and harvesting your own homegrown food is one of the most satisfying things you can do. Picked and eaten at the peak of ripeness, it is full of flavor and packed with nutrition. There is little that compares with a vine ripened tomato or strawberries warm with the sun. And it doesn’t take a great deal of space to grow some of your own food; a pair of beds or boxes can provide salad greens nearly year round in our mild climate. A semi-dwarf apple tree (and proper storage) can provide six months of apples.

Create a Healthy, Productive Edible Garden

At Breaking Ground we can help you to envision, realize and maintain a healthy, productive edible garden. We start with what you like to eat, consider your space and take into account the amount of time you have for the endeavor as we plan a garden that will produce the maximum amount of food for the space.

Maintain Your Existing Landscape

We can also help you maintain your existing landscape. Many people have moved away from lawns to drought tolerant and pollinator friendly landscapes which require knowledgeable and timely pruning, deadheading and fertilizing to look their best. We have the expertise in irrigation, weeding, mulching, shaping and maintaining shrubs and perennials so that they will thrive. We can also help you add new plants to your existing landscape.
